THE KAHWA PHASE
PRE-BLOOM
Phase IPlace the saffron threads into a small vessel with 30 ml of warm water (not exceeding 70°C). Allow the infusion to develop undisturbed for a minimum of 20 minutes, maximizing both color and aromatic depth.
WATER & AROMATICS
Phase IIBring the filtered water to a gentle boil. Introduce the green tea, crushed cardamom pods, and cinnamon stick. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to steep for 2–3 minutes, extracting a clean, layered infusion.
SAFFRON INTEGRATION
Phase IIIStrain the infusion into a clean vessel. Incorporate the saffron elixir along with its threads, ensuring even distribution of color and aroma. Introduce sweetener at this stage, adjusting with restraint.
PRESENTATION & GARNISH
Phase IV
Place finely crushed almonds at the base of each serving cup. Pour the warm infusion through a strainer over the almonds. Finish with a few visible saffron threads for a refined visual accent.
SERVICE
Phase VServe immediately in a calm, unhurried setting. The infusion is best appreciated slowly, allowing its warmth, spice, and floral notes to unfold progressively
