  • 480 ml filtered water
  • 2–3g loose-leaf black tea

THE AROMATICS

  • A precise pinch of premium saffron threads
  • 2 green cardamom pods, crushed
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • Sugar, to taste

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

  • Small bowl (for saffron pre-bloom)
  • Heavy-bottomed saucepan
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Serving cups

The Atelier Process

PRE-BLOOM

Phase I

In a small bowl, introduce saffron threads to 20 ml of warm milk. Allow to rest for at least 20 minutes, encouraging full release of color and aroma.

SPICE BREW

Phase II

Bring water to a gentle simmer. Add tea leaves, crushed cardamom, and fennel seeds. Allow the mixture to steep for 5–7 minutes, developing a deep, spiced infusion.

SAFFRON INTEGRATION

Phase III

Incorporate the saffron-infused milk along with sugar into the brew. Add the remaining milk and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 2–3 minutes, allowing all elements to harmonize.

PRESENTATION

Phase IV

Strain the infusion into prepared serving cups. Optionally drizzle a small amount of concentrated saffron milk over the surface for an elevated visual finish.

SERVE & ENJOY

Phase V

Serve hot, ideally alongside delicate biscuits. Best enjoyed slowly, allowing the layered aromatics to unfold.
